Election Day

I hope we all went out and exercised our civic reasonability and voted yesterday…I was really happy that Luz won the Senate seat for my district. I had been helping almost every Saturday since May in some kind of campaigning thing to raise awareness and make things happen. Here is a picture of some lady I don’t know, Isabel, me and Luz at a rally we had in the park.
On a national note, I am not surprised that Obama won. I will say that I am a little curious to see what is going to happen because he has a lot on his plate and not much experience. Although the future is uncertain, I know that if we stay close to the Lord he will guide us through these challenging times and we won’t have to rely on the arms of man to carry us through.

I am working really hard to get my food storage ready:)

Happy Halloween!!

Saving the world with our super human powers...we are the X men. If you havent seen the movies then you might not recongize me:) I am Rogue who is has the power of stealing other's powers from them (for a short period of time). I can't touch any one (with out my gloves) or I might put you into a coma or if you are a mutant I might steal your power.

This was me with two other guys from work having a great time on Halloween!

Oldest to Youngest

Look at all the cuties!! I am so proud to be their aunt. We had such a great time at Tuk's house. I will never forget this trip we took July 11th through the 15th 2008. This picture was taking Sunday morning before church with the golf course in the back ground.

Hugs from Tuk

This picture reminds me of all the hugs I would get from Tuk whenever I saw him and the last hug that we gave each other before he passed on and reunited with Grams. I am so glad that I was able to go up and visit I think we all had a great time. I don't know who's hand is on is on Tuk's tie any guesses? (It sure is a cute one)

out with the old and in with the new

Hello everyone!
I has almost been 3 months since I had a car and I can't believe I lasted that long. So here is a good-bye to the lady bug it was hard to see her go (she was such a great car even though she smoked all the time). I am very happy with the new car so far... and her name is zippy. The tinted windows I think are my favorite part:)

17.5 miles

This week was the week of hikes. I went on four very different hikes and enjoyed all of them very much because I had never done them before.

Monday: I hiked to the Timpanogos caves 3.5 miles round trip. You hike up a paved trail for 1.5 miles climbing up the side of the mountain and then you spend about an hour in the caves on a tour. Not too difficult and a lot of fun.

Wednesday: I went to Moab, UT and hiked to the famous arch that is on a lot of Utah license plates. It was so hot and windy there was no shade and I am glad that I didn't pass out. It was worth it in the end to see that arch! Round trip 3 miles

Thursday: Went to a place called Goblin Valley, it is an hour west of Moab and we camped over night there. In the morning we hiked to Little Wild Horse canyon. This canyon was really unique. As you can see from the pictures that it is all rock. Easier hike then the first two. Round trip 4 miles.

Saturday: The hardest hike of them all! Mt Olympus, the tallest peak on the Wasatch. 3 miles straight up to the saddle, then another 1/2 mile climbing up large boulders to the top. The top consist of large rocks with steep drop offs and I was very scared climbing up and sitting/ standing up there. It was well worth the trip up because you can see the whole valley once you are up there and it was beautiful!!! Round trip 7 miles (ps mom it was completely safe because there were women older than you at the top:) and I said if they can do this, I can do this:)

First Time

WOW! I can't believe that I am doing a blog! I ever thought that I would get into something like this...especially since I don't like to write all that much:) Anyway, this first picture is one of favorites because it is of all my cute chiclets (nieces and nephews) at McCall last July. I love going to McCall with them, they are all so much fun! I have so much more to say about my life but I will have to do that later...I am at work right now and should get back to it...
