17.5 miles

This week was the week of hikes. I went on four very different hikes and enjoyed all of them very much because I had never done them before.

Monday: I hiked to the Timpanogos caves 3.5 miles round trip. You hike up a paved trail for 1.5 miles climbing up the side of the mountain and then you spend about an hour in the caves on a tour. Not too difficult and a lot of fun.

Wednesday: I went to Moab, UT and hiked to the famous arch that is on a lot of Utah license plates. It was so hot and windy there was no shade and I am glad that I didn't pass out. It was worth it in the end to see that arch! Round trip 3 miles

Thursday: Went to a place called Goblin Valley, it is an hour west of Moab and we camped over night there. In the morning we hiked to Little Wild Horse canyon. This canyon was really unique. As you can see from the pictures that it is all rock. Easier hike then the first two. Round trip 4 miles.

Saturday: The hardest hike of them all! Mt Olympus, the tallest peak on the Wasatch. 3 miles straight up to the saddle, then another 1/2 mile climbing up large boulders to the top. The top consist of large rocks with steep drop offs and I was very scared climbing up and sitting/ standing up there. It was well worth the trip up because you can see the whole valley once you are up there and it was beautiful!!! Round trip 7 miles (ps mom it was completely safe because there were women older than you at the top:) and I said if they can do this, I can do this:)

First Time

WOW! I can't believe that I am doing a blog! I ever thought that I would get into something like this...especially since I don't like to write all that much:) Anyway, this first picture is one of favorites because it is of all my cute chiclets (nieces and nephews) at McCall last July. I love going to McCall with them, they are all so much fun! I have so much more to say about my life but I will have to do that later...I am at work right now and should get back to it...
